In answer to Derek Jefcoate's question in The Overprinter 3/2007 p.68, "PAGATO" is the Italian word for "PAID". This is found as a very large perfin on Eritrea overprinted GB stamps used on telegraph forms, and some are also illustrated on the Web Page
