John,
I believe I have already sent you a scan of my used Overprinted Postal Order.
George V 1/- cancelled Cape Coast Gold Coast June 1 1923, payable to a US publishing Company in Vernon Ohio which is probably why it was never cashed in.
A source in the West Africa Study circle has told me that these are "uncommon".
regards
Murray
PS... Whilst NOT GB Overprints the Queen Victoria Postal Orders for Gold Coast are very attractive (and expensive when you can find one)

John
I assume its only the GB ovpt PO's you are interested in but if you need details I have copies of a couple of ordinary G.Coast Q.Vic PO's I sold a couple of years ago.

Yes, thanks for that marvellous scan Murray. I've got scans of about 4 other GC opts on UK postal orders from other members of the Postal Order Society.

A 20/- George V Postal Order overprinted for use in the Gold Coast has just sold on Ebay for USD 2,292.00 that's GBP 1000++++. The bidding started by "yours truly" at USD 100 reached USD 425 and then shot up to USD 2267 finishing at 2292.
I "know" these things are difficult but over a Thousand Pounds surely not.
Anyone want to give me a "grand" for the one I have ???
Murray
I have sent John an email with a copy of the Ebay photograph.
